Implants

We can replace missing teeth with dental implants. A dental implant is a precision titanium metal post that is surgically placed in healthy bone. The implant surgery is performed outside of our office by an oral surgeon. After the sight has healed for 4 to 6 months, we restore the implant at our office with a custom made implant crown. Advantages: an implant supports itself, so no changes need to be made to surrounding teeth, and an implant provides a solid replacement that looks and feels like a natural tooth. Disadvantages: the cost is higher than traditional bridgework or dentures and the process takes longer than bridgework or dentures.
